The 178km or Century Ride is how the tour got started. Completing a century is the ultimate goal for a cyclist and for many is a daunting challenge. To complete 178km you need to prepare months in advance. Months of training and sticking to the plan will make your experience that much more enjoyable and rewarding. Crossing the finish line to the cheers of hundreds of fellow cyclists will be something you will never forget. Route Change: New 100 mile route approved by EBTC executive: EBTC is excited to announce a new route for the Tour de l'Alberta that will NOT have a loop. To achieve this we were required to add an additional 18km's to the present 160km for a total distance of 178km's. For a preview of the new route Click Here. The route will pass through the communities of Westlock, Clyde, Thorhild, Redwater, Gibbons and Bon Accord. We are confident that despite the additional distance that the route will be inspiring and rewarding as you pass through and experience rural Alberta at its best. |
