About Edmonton Bicycle & Touring Club Would you like to learn some of our local cycling routes? Would you like to ride in a relaxed welcoming social setting? The Edmonton Bicycle and Touring Club (EBTC) is a recreational not-for-profit volunteer-run group dedicated to encourage an active lifestyle with recreational road cycling as its main focus. The club hosts single-day and weekend bicycling trips during cycling season, cross-country skiing trips in the winter, and social events all year round. We welcome both road bike and mountain bike riders! The club celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2008 and currently has over 400 active members. The club organizes a multitude of rides throughout the year. The largest of these rides is the Tour de l'Alberta which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2009. Joining EBTC is a great way to meet other cyclists, get outdoors on the bike and to train for the Tour. Want to start a regular training program? Check out the Upcoming Events and Weekly Events pages at www.bikeclub.ca to see the rides that are being planned. |
