Q: What is the start times?

A: These are the official start times for the various distances:

178km - 7:30AM

100km - 10:00AM

50km - 11:30AM

20km - 12:30PM

5km Kids Mini Tour - Noon

Please ensure you show up at least a half hour before your start time to give yourself plenty of time to get your bike set-up and organized.

Q: I do not feel like doing the distance I chose. How do I change the distance I would like to do? By what date can I make the change?

A: You have until the morning of the ride to decide which distance you would like to do. All you need to do is show up for the start time of the ride you would ike to do. Thus, if you signed up for 178km's and would like to do 100km's, all you have to do is show up for the start time of the 100km ride. There is no need to advise the organizers of your change.

Q: Where is the starting point?

A: The starting point for this year's Tour de l'Alberta will be Morinville Community High School located at 9506 100 ave (Map)

Q: What food and water will be provided?

A: Yes all food and water will be provided. Food will consist of watermelon, oranges, salty carbs (chips, pretzels etc), granola bars, Sandwiches, trail mix, and special treats along the way. Water and pre mixed gatorade will also be provided at all rest stops. There will also be a hearty end of ride meal to replace all those calories you burned.

Q: How do I train for my ride?

Q: When will I receive the jersey I purchased?

A: Jerseys will arrive one week before the event and will be included with your registration package. Registration packages will be available to pick up on Friday, July 24 (between the hours of 5:00 - 9:00pm) and Saturday, July 25 (between the hours of 10:00am to 3:00pm). Those who requested their registration package be mailed ($10 fee) will receive it the week of July 21st.

Q: How do I get my registration package?

A: If you requested that it be mailed it will be mailed by July 14th to the address provided when you registered. If you chose pick up, registration packages will be available for pick-up at United Cycle (map) the following days:

Friday July 24 between 5:00PM - 8:30PM

Saturday July 25 between 10:00AM - 3:00PM

Q: What should I bring the day of the ride?

A: Here is a list of things you should bring with you:

- Helmet (Mandatory)

- Rain Gear

- Tube(s) for your tires

- Air pump

- Change of clothes for the end of the ride

- Sunglasses

- Sunscreen lotion

- Cash for massage

- ID

Q: Is the ride supported?

A: Yes! The ride will be supported by vehicles helping with basic repairs such as flats. There will also be a SAG wagon that will pick you and your bike up in case you are not able to complete the ride. You will be brought back to Morinville High School.
